Page1 Prodigy: Tom Foster

Pay per Click and Office Manager Tommy has a long association with Page1, having been involved since the company formed in 2011.

While he officially started his employment in February 2014, he completed his work experience with us, while still in full-time education, which gave him an invaluable insight into the day-to-day of a very busy digital marketing agency.

He also worked for Page1 on an ad hoc basis while completing his education, so his involvement with our family-run business extends to an impressive 13 years.

Benefits of pay per click

Tommy’s position as PPC manager is a vital responsibility within the company, as paid advertising offers many benefits for our clients. One of the quickest ways to increase lead generation, it enables a business’s content or website to be targeted towards a relevant and lucrative audience.

A company can win more business through typically focusing on Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Shopping, Instagram Ads, Facebook Ads and LinkedIn Ads. Each campaign depends on the individual client and their goals, but paid Google advertising is always a particularly useful and popular option.

Typically modest about his involvement with Page1’s PPC services, Tommy says this has been a “natural progression” of the company’s successful SEO efforts. “The responsibility of developing this side of the business was passed to me,” he explains. “I started by doing the Ads exams. Then, we grew the service to become a Google Partner.” “In 2023, we reached Google Premier Partner status, becoming eligible due to the accounts we manage being of top quality, among other qualifying factors.”

Google Premier Partner status is particularly prestigious, since companies must meet the stringent Partner requirements to earn the accolade, including being in the country’s top 3% of participating businesses.

Office Manager

Tommy’s Office Manager role began in 2015, when he first took on responsibility for the smooth and efficient overall running of the agency. Proud of his achievements, he cites Page1 reaching Premier Partner status as being one of the major highlights of his career to date.

He enjoys working with a “team of great people”, adding, “Being a part of Page1’s growth over the years is extremely validating, as is completing work for some great businesses.”

Staying up to date

Keeping up to date with the latest developments in the industry is no mean feat, since Digital Marketing is a fast-changing sector that continually evolves.

Tommy ensures he remains on the ball by continually communicating with Google, using reliable online information sources and completing courses on an ongoing basis. “Away from this, my experience in using Google Ads is always beneficial to every account build and changes we make,” he explains.

Focused and driven

As a key member of the Page1 team, Tommy’s importance to our company goes without saying. 100% focused and driven, his support has never faltered, and his advice and opinions are always considered in any business decisions.

Son of Jo Foster, who is Partner, and Content and Creative Strategist; and the stepson of Justin Clarke, who is Partner and Managing Director; Tommy is following the family ethos, devoting his all to the company. Jo and Justin are both incredibly proud of him and they know that when the time is right to pass the business on, Page1 will be in very capable hands.
